Today We spoke to The Nubians ZA ahead of their Album launch title "A Trip2Nubia"

Here is what you to know about the Rap duo from Zebediela

The Nubians are a rap duo from limpopo Zebediela. Who create music to inspire and motivate the community through their form of art.

The duo said their music and them are inspired by the diverse sounds from Limpopo and also the everyday experience of people and giving people faith whiles they can still enjoy and dance. For example Tsholla dikeledi which is their latest single from A Trip2Nubia is a prayer to share with the world, asking God to bless the whole world abundantly.

"Our art is made for the people. It is a way of us expressing feelings and being the voice for those who are voiceless, healing the hurt and spreading love towards another" - said duo

They both grew up in the village of Zebediela in Limpopo( Bolahlakgomo )." Where we grew up really inspired us because that is where we learned about our roots and we learned alot about the versatility of Limpopo music" said khomotso Nkhuna

Does the place you live now influence your art?? "Where we currently reside has an influence to our art. We got introduced to producers such as Zoey T who played a major influence to our album A Trip2Nubia. Our album is a product influenced by Mzonkonko and drill fused with sounds from Limpopo such as Mkhukhu, manyalo music and also Tsonga disco music" said Lungelo Gololo

The Nubians are influenced by the upbringing of elders who passed down their knowledge and moulded them into who they are now.

The Rap duo didn't have an opportunity to study in the same school, Khomots Nkhuna (Nubian Flow) did his primary at Laerskool Zebediela, went to Nothern Academy to start his high school years and later on moved to Vosloorus which is in the East Rand of Johannesburg where he matriculated at Erasmus Monareng Secondary school. While Lungelo Gololo (Nubian Phoenix) went to do his primary years at Bolahlakgomo Primary school and matriculated in Chita Kekana senior Secondary school.

Their highly anticipated album which drop on the 28 of july 2023, features artists such as Pleasure tsa Manyalo , Wacha Mkhukhu, Dr-Joe shirimani and Leo Magozz official from Zimbabwe know for he's hit song fire emoji. they also have the freshest talent likes of Neechor -SA , KayMo Grillz , @Zoey T and Zebediela's own Fresh Taylor.
